You can look at rock & metal bands for that. Music should never be a popularity contest, which hip-hop has became. See thats going to backfire on them and be the downfall of this genre. It happened to the glam/hair rock back in the 80s. "

(The Roots) - Rising Down. The Album Of The Year. Hands down, this album is a classic. To me personally this album has all the qualities to be a perfect Roots album. You get the beats and the talk. Far between the album takes a whole new level and maintain. After the opening hip hop party in Philadelphia with Get Busy; Becoming Unwritten ignites a terror of fruity beats and dark melodies to expose the talent of this crew. This album sticks to You from the first listen and doesn't stop until the replay button burnt off. Black Thought keeps his cool with 75 Bars, although the parade of features on this album may be the only drawback in this projects. Yet, there is no weak verse to bring down the high of this master piece. 9/10
